MMA History
It all started back in September, 1993, when a handful of
local Mopar owners speculated that there appeared to be
enough interest from local Mopar owners to create the
area's first Mopar club. Word was passed from mouth to
mouth, telephone calls were placed to potential members
and the first organizational meeting was held. In the
ensuing 6 months, the 12 founding members met at a
local restaurants, created a rough draft of the club's
Since that time, the club has grown to nearly 200 current (and non-current)
members. We host two of our own car shows annually , but our members and their
cars also participate in several other car oriented events and civic functions - both as
individuals and as a group. Over the years, we have managed to generate enough
funds through our Annual Michiana Mopar and Friends Open Car Show to not only
maintain our club and support its functions, but to also be able to donate several
thousands of dollars to various local and national charities and institutions. Some of
those recipients are shown below.
American Red Cross
Child Abuse Prevention Services
Family and Children's Center
Food Bank of Northern Indiana
Mishawaka H. S. Engineering
Ronald McDonald House
South Bend First Methodist Church Glove Program
St. Vincent DePaul Society
The Salvation Army
Toys for Tots
Thanksgiving Food Baskets for the Needy
Our own "Adopt a Family" Program for
Needy Families at Christmastime
Michiana Mopar Association members are proud to be able to "give back" to the
communities in which we live and work, and to be willing and able to help
those less fortunate than ourselves while, at the same time, still enjoying our

bylaws, designed the club's logo and started making plans for future events. In
March, 1994, the Michiana Mopar Association was officially formed.
Members and their families enjoy many club events throughout the year such as
the club sponsored car shows, road rallys, field trips, cruise-ins and parades.
MMA's future is bright. There seems to be no shortage of vintage Chrysler
products and those who love and drive them. New members are always
welcome!
